Arts & Graphics + Draftline
Arts and Graphics first opened in Redruth Cornwall in the 1970’s when Denis and Marjorie Burtenshaw realised that there was a need for a shop selling quality art products to local artists and students at the local art college. Over the years the shop grew in both size and reputation until it was acknowledged as one of the best art shops in the South West.
Upon their well-deserved retirement in 1997 the business was handed over to us - their daughter Barbara and her husband Gerald. We have combined our business Draftline, which supplies office furniture and stationery as well as specialist computer papers, with Arts and Graphics. We have developed the business, adding craft materials and stationery to the range, and moving the business to a more central location in Redruth in 2001.
The shop has been likened to the Tardis, as it holds a surprisingly large range of art and craft materials. Another key feature of the business is the extremely loyal and knowledgeable team who work at the shop. Marie, who is the supervisor, is the longest serving member of staff and started with the business in 1989!
The aim of our business is what it has always been – to offer good quality and value to our customers. We try to keep a good variety of stock, as well as to keep up with the latest materials and trends.
Our shop occupies a prime location on pedestrianised Fore Street, the main shopping street in Redruth in Cornwall, opposite HSBC. very close to the main car park at New Cut, which is directly behind Wilkinsons.
We are always delighted to welcome visitors from Cornwall and beyond to Arts & Graphics in normal opening hours (9 -5 Monday to Saturday. Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays) and also to our Draftline office furniture showroom at the bottom of Treruffe Hill, which is open by appointment only.
